The Announcement

1:59 PM

To our parents:
We drove over to my parents house the day we found out. Seth had made a little picture slide show on his Mac with pictures of our bathroom remodeling. He also threw in the picture of us holding the pregnancy test somewhere in the middle of all the bathroom pictures. We told my parents we wanted to show them what was going on with the remodeling and that Seth made a video - nothing new. =) My Mom was holding the laptop and Heather and my Dad were standing close by. As soon as my Mom saw the pregnancy test she screamed (almost threw the laptop on the floor) and started crying. It took my Dad and Sister a second to catch on. Everyone was so excited!
Unfortunately, we could not drive to Atlanta to announce our wonderful news to tell Seth's parents. We had talked about driving up there and surprising them, but my cousin's wedding was that weekend and we were very busy. =( We made a phone call to the house and Gabe answered. Seth spent a few, very awkward, moments talking to him about nothing. He eventually found out that both parents were not home. We called the cell phones and tried to reach them. After not getting them for a long time they finally called! I remember Seth and I were driving and he said, "well...long pause...we are pregnant!" I think I started crying, and I could hear the screams on the other side of the phone. Again, everyone was so excited!

To our family and friends:
We made phone calls, showed up at people's houses and sent e-mails! We could not wait to get the news out! It was the best watching everyone's face when we told them. I loved every minute of it. A few that I will always remember are telling Megan McKelvey and George and Noelle. Very funny memories...=)

Actually......I'll never forget Seth's words, "We have a pizza in the oven"! He knew I would know what that meant since he's heard ME say it in the past!
Looking forward to seeing this SPECIAL (Sweetie) PIE!

    Love,
    Mom
