All Done!

6:13 AM

Yesterday was the most beautiful day we've had in a long time! We were outside all day, as usual, but this time it was so much more enjoyable. The wind was blowing a cool breeze, not a cloud in the sky and sometimes you would even catch a slight chill...well, in the morning at least. We went to a near by park to play. Norah fell and skinned her knee and got an "owie" - she fell twice on the same knee. Last night she started saying "all done, all done" and pulling on her knee. I finally realized that she is saying "all done" to her "owie" and wants me to take it off. So cute!! =)

Finally something new...

7:35 AM

Life here at the Lytle household has been very busy.  I'll attempt to update you on the latest.

Norah:
Well, she is talking more, running faster and even cuter than a month ago.  She is such a social butterfly and has no fear walking up to complete strangers and talking away!  Her new favorite food is coconut curry chicken, that's our girl, and as of last night, chocolate ice cream!  She loves to help me clean.  I hear a little voice always right behind me asking, "oop you" help me.  She is also growing up, she is now 31" tall and 20lbs.  She still looks petite to us, but at least she hits the charts with her weight.  The funniest thing she does lately is act like a dog.  I seriously think she has a some identity problem.  She really thinks she is a dog, hence the photo of her drinking water like a dog and eating out of his food bowl.  If you have been around her lately you most likely have noticed her growling.  I believe she got this from Bauer and is attempting to growl like him.  Although we are working on it because it is also an attitude problem.  =) She is constantly asking to be "siiide" with Bauer.  A few times she has woken up in the middle of the night asking to go outside and I have to tell her to wait until morning.   From the moment she wakes up all she wants to do is play outside.  Seth mentioned taking her camping, but I am a bit hesitant because I think she might connect the dots and realize you CAN live outside, forever...I love that I have a little girly who is not afraid of bugs or dirt.  I just can't wait for it to cool off so I am not dying of heat when we spend all day outside.

Me:
Well, I am just a confusing as ever with my health issues.  I won't get into all the details, just be praying.  I had tests last week to try and reveal the cause of my odd symptoms, but they all came back normal.  The Dr. is back to square one and has no idea at this point what is wrong.  He gave me lots of his ideas to what he thought it could be and I am trying not to jump to conclusions or worry.  I know God has always been faithful to heal me or to at least comfort in times of need.  Trusting Him is really all I can do at this point.  Everything else in life is going smoothly.  My BeautiControl business has weeks of being good and bad.  This week is potentially going to fall in the "good" week!  School is going great and I am really enjoying my students this year.  That's all for me.

Seth:
Is amazing and I love him!  He has been working so hard to come up with a battle plan to get us out of debt in 18 months!  It is going to be very difficult and requires lots of sacrifices and planning.  We are both super excited about getting out of debt and I think we both feel God's grace in the situation.  We will have to give up a lot, and if you are close to us you might already be feeling the results of some of those things....driving to friends, going out, anything extra and potentially our house!   It is only a season and we both know that.  It will be hard and at times extremely hard, but the end result (no debt) will be much greater!!  Our first attempt to get some extra cash was to have a garage sale.  Since we don't have a garage we had a porch sale!  We made out with over $300!!  God is so good!!

Oh brother

5:33 AM

It happened.  This time with no warning. I had no idea it was coming.  No way of preparing myself, gearing up for battle.  It was horrific, awful, smelly and absolutely disgusting.  Yup, Norah pooped all over herself, her bed, her blanky and baby early this morning.  She was laying in it crying.  I wanted to cry when I walked in the room.  Uh, it was gross.  I can't believe I didn't get a "yucky", not one single "yucky" from her.  Unfortunately it wasn't all the poop.  Just as I cleaned her up, threw everything into the wash she did it again.  Thankfully I was able to catch it before it went everywhere, but it was gross and equally as smelly.  I can still smell poop lingering in the house.  I will be lighting candles all day =)  I feel like I have officially become a Mom now.  Oh man, I need my latte....

Celebration 2008

1:33 PM

What an amazing, tiring weekend we had at Celebration South Florida 2008. The theme of the weekend was Freedom in Christ. We heard several outstanding messages and had one incredible night of ministry. There was so much to learn I am still processing everything. I am so much more thankful for what Christ did for me on the Cross and for forgiving my sins, completely!

I didn't take too many pictures...I kept forgetting. We had the most amazing hotel room (thanks Dad and Mom!!), but I didn't get any pictures. All I can tell you was it looked and smelled brand new, tons of space and great food. =) Norah did great! She is now a big Generation Letter Fan. She kept trying to run up to the front near the stage. She would wait for the lobby doors to open and then make her dash down screaming and waving her hands up in the air! It was cute. She stayed up until 11:00PM enjoying the concert. We had to make her leave so she could get a little sleep for the next day. =)

I was also amazed at how well she did in class. We would drop her off 15 minutes before the session and she would stay in there the whole time - not once did her number come up on the screen! The classes were long too, about 2.5 hours. I'm so proud.
